Long before the United States became independent in 1776, our British colonialists enacted some strange laws upon the colony of Pennsylvania – among them, a prohibition of hunting on Sundays. For some reason, leaders such as Daryl Metcalfe have never bothered to adapt the books to match our lifestyles. As our region continues to advance as a hub of innovation, our laws should reflect the current needs and concerns of our citizens.
I am ready to bring the issues that HD-12 faces everyday to Harrisburg and fight back against random regulation that no longer makes sense in our society. Our district needs a representative who actually represents the problems of his constituents if we ever hope to have our voices heard.
Hunting is a key element of our district’s identity, and our state must take such concerns seriously. We should hand control over hunting to the expertise of the Pennsylvania Game Commission and demand the review of archaic and arbitrary laws that regulate this fundamental pastime. A day spent hunting is a day of friends, family, and fresh air, and our state has no place in regulating this freedom.
Get involved with Team Dan today, and help us bring our hunting laws into the 21st century!
